Moms' Night Out Review

Moms' Night Our Poster
I am always on a lookout for good, funny, clean movies and I found one in Moms' Night Out.

Moms Ally (Sarah Drew), Izzy (Logan White), and Sondra (the amazing and remarkable and fantastic Patricia Heaton) go out on a "Moms' Night" to a fancy restaurant while their husbands take care of the kids. Little do both parties know that they are about to embark on an incredible journey...To find a baby?

Pros: This movie has a lot of great moments. It is honestly one of the funniest movies I've seen in recent years. It's hilarious without having to be vulgar. And the jokes all hit home runs. I don't think there was one joke in this movie I didn't at least snicker at.

The characters were all very likable and you find yourself shaking your head up and down in agreement with the situations they found themselves in. Even if you've never experienced something like it, you know someone who has. The acting was also very well done.
DANCE PAR-TAY!

The production value on this was truly amazing. The tones of all the different places this adventure takes us is just right and pulls us through them as if we were there ourselves; whether it was in a ally, a police station, or an ordinary neighborhood.
What could possibly be going on? Guess you'll have to watch the movie to find out!

And yes, this is a Christian movie. People go to church and talk about God. But, even though it did all those things, it didn't shove Christianity in your face in a way that would make non-Christians dislike it (unless they're very bitter). I do think it was lot more sincere when talking about Christianity than movies like Heaven is for Real even though it wasn't a constant thing they talked about.

Cons: One of the only things I think could possible be wrong with this movie was that it was kind of a "chick flick" Not that the whole family couldn't enjoy it, it's just some of the jokes are mostly geared to women and men won't get them as much. But as I said, if you are a man and don't get these jokes, look at it from the eyes of your wife or another girl you know and odds are you'll laugh anyway.
I also felt that the movie should have paid a little more attention to the Mens' story. It felt a little bit weak compared to the moms'. This would have also helped the men audience with connecting with the film.
One other thing that I guess could be thought as a con was that it was a bit over exaggerated. Though, I think it was supposed to be for you to get the point. And hey! it is a comedy.

Conclusion: I really liked this movie and thought it was hilarious! It took everyday situations (exaggerated them a bit) and made you laugh about them. This was an awesome Mothers Day movie and I think ever mother should at least try this one out. It's also a great family film and gives everyone a better appreciation for mothers everywhere. AND PLEASE SEE THIS MOVIE INSTEAD OF HEAVEN IS FOR REAL!!

  1. It seems okay, but I think I'll take a pass on this.
